Once again, our KINARA Leadership Program brought together the dynamic young women, on 3rd September 2025, for a second session to delve deeper into women’s leadership, advocacy, and innovation.

The session focused on equipping participants with the mindset and skills to navigate challenges and drive meaningful change within their communities.

As part of the interactive discussion, the young women were led to discuss on influential leadership, by deeply reflecting on the influence role models have on personal growth and shaping leadership aspirations. Majority of the women reflected on both global and Tanzanian women leaders, pondering how the leaders have paved the way for gender equality, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership. The participants also reflected on the influence these women leaders have on their education and career choices, as well as community work, underpinning the power of visibility and representation in transforming women’s leadership pathways.

The session included facilitator led skill-building workshops that covered advocacy, community engagement, and innovative problem-solving, and concluded with personal commitment reflections, where each participant identified actionable steps to effectively implement their knowledge in their workaday world and communities.

KINARA’s interactive approach guided the young women into brainstorming creative ways to address social challenges and promote gender-inclusive leadership within their local contexts. As the participants await the next virtual session on 16th September 2025, the focus will concentrate on Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Presence. The steady evolution from the first two sessions’ energy and momentum serve as a true testament to KINARA’s vision of empowering young women to lead with confidence, empathy, and purpose.
